Australian researcher Rebecca Byrne asked 276 mums to rank their 12-16 month old as underweight, normal weight or over weight. 27 mums said their child was underweight with only 1 actually being found to be too thin.
11 children were identified as overweight by their mums with 88 of the 276 toddlers actually being overweight.
